Plants are priceless treasures. They are filled with subtle fragrances, rich and nuanced tastes; they have multiple properties. Some facilitate sleep or serenity, others activate digestion, temper inflammation, boost the immune system… The list is long.
Our approach is to work with many aromatic, but also medicinal plants, most of which are now forgotten: Caraway, Melissa, Poppy flowers, Thyme-lemon, Verbena, Wild thyme, Elderflower...
Our goal is to sublimate their aromas and combine them to better develop amazing taste compositions.
Etienne and Guillaume met on the benches of the school, in Saint-Didier-en-Velay. After high school, they take different paths: the first pursues science studies and specializes in plant biotechnology in Toulouse, while the second turns to catering and opens a bar-restaurant in Saint-Etienne. Wishing to return to his birthplace to live with his family in the countryside, Etienne returned to Saint-Didier with the idea of retraining professionally. A desire also shared by Guillaume…
It was then that the two friends had the idea of combining their new skills, in order to embark on an unprecedented adventure: the Brasserie des Plantes was born!
