An interpretation center of the Gorges de la Loire

The castle of Essalois houses the interpretation center of the Gorges de la Loire, an educational space which allows the discovery of the heritage of the gorges, classified site for the beauty of its landscapes, and EDF Grangent hydroelectric dam. Interactive furniture enhances the route: films, virtual tours, 3D representations... Free admission!

A superb point of view!

Take out your cameras, the panorama is photogenic! From the terrace of the Château d'Essalois or even from the car park, you can admire the view of Grangent Lake. Golden broom in spring and willowherbs in summer illuminate and perfectly complement the postcard. In autumn, it is the Indian summer and its palette of red, orange and ocher colors that magnify the picture. You have understood, in each season, the scene is superb and worth the detour!
