From the crypt of the church of Beauzac to the castle of Chalencon passing by beautiful viewpoints, a day to discover our well-hidden nuggets, little treasures of heritage, far from overcrowded sites.
In the morning, discovery of Beauzac with its medieval church of St Jean and its “little jewel” of Romanesque art: the crypt.
Ascent of the Madeleine from the village “le Pédible” between Beauzac and Retounac. Arrival on the volcanic plateau of Madeleine which we travel from North to South using a well-maintained path. In the middle of the plateau is the small Sainte-Marie-Madeleine Chapel. Views of the Loire Valley, the Mézenc, Meygal, Pilat and finally Forez massifs with three orientation tables.

At lunchtime, let yourself be tempted by lunch at the restaurant “La Vieille Ferme” in Beauzactel 04 71 61 47 33 or L’air du temps in Confolent – ​​tel 04 71 61 49 05.
Picnic areas are also provided.
In the afternoon, head to Chalencon, a true gem, perched on a rock at an altitude of over 660 m, and full of history. Discover its medieval village, its castle, its chapel without forgetting the Devil's Bridge and its legend. Free visit or guided tour.
