PR 293 – Le Moulin du Pré

You will appreciate the scents of resin and mushrooms on the steep paths that lead to the edge of La Dunière. There, where you can imagine the industrious past of the river and, on the heights, contemplate the landscape of the juices.

Description

1 – At the west entrance to Lachamp, take the right street and cross the stream.

2 – Follow the small road on the left that goes up to Chanteloube.

– Passage of PR 294 in the hamlet.

3 – In the hamlet, turn right on the stony path which rises quickly, then becomes flat. Reach the tarmac part (view of Saint Pal de Mons, the Lizieux peak and the Mézenc massif). Cross the D 44 (be careful!) and cross the hamlet of Menis. Continue the path until after the farm.

4 – At the intersection of the four paths, turn right for 100 m then left. Enter the coniferous plantations, go down the stony path and join the feed canal of the Moulin du Pré.

5 – Turn right towards the Moulin du Pré farm. Take the steep path on the right and join the D 500. Cross the road (be careful!) and climb the path towards Terrières.

6 – Go up to the center of the hamlet, turn right to find the D 500 and follow it to the left (be careful!)

7- After the farm, turn left towards Villedemont then, 100 m later, take the path on the right. Turn right, cross the small bridge spanning the stream and continue as far as the D 500. Cut the road (be careful!), cross the hamlet of Flaminges, reach the D 44 (cross opposite).

8 – Follow the small road parallel to the D 44 to the right. Keep right for 200 m and turn left onto the path lined with hawthorns. Cut the D 44 (be careful!).

9 – Continue on the grassy path, then stony which leads back to the Lachamp stream.

2- On the other bank, take the path on the left which joins the starting point.
