PR 661 – Le Moulin de Canel
Hidden in the greenery, along a small stream called the Moulinet, the churches and chapels of the communes of Boisset and Tiranges can be admired. At the end of the route, you will cross the arboretum and its "perched village".
Route details
Description
1 – With your back to the church, take the main street on the left. At the Saint-Roch chapel, turn right and follow the road for 600 m.
2 – Turn onto the wide path on the right and continue in a straight line between agricultural land. At the fork, go right. Reach the entrance to Tiranges.
Turn right into rue de la Chabanne (Notre-Dame chapel). She veers to the right. Take rue des Verdiers to the left, then right rue du Chappre.
3 – At the cross, continue right towards Chappre. At the fork marked by large trees, continue left then take Rue des Billards on the right.
4 – At the intersection, continue straight. The path descends into the Moulinet valley. Stay on the main path and ford the stream. On the other slope, ignore a grassy path on the right, climb and, at the houses of Chaumont, go straight on.
5 – Take the road on the right for 150 m, then the parallel path on the left. Return to the road for 50 m, then take the second path on the right. At the intersection continue straight.
6 – Follow the road on the left for 250 m. At the cross, take the grassy path on the right. Take the D 44 on the left for 200 m, then enter the woods via the dirt road on the right. Continue along the edge along the path on the left. At the entrance to Boisset-Bas, turn right.
7 – At the fork continue to the right. Ignore the path on the left and reach the level of the stream.
8 – Leave the main path for the path on the left. it crosses the arboretum and the “Perched Village”. Cross the small bridge to go back towards Boisset. Follow the D44 on the left to find the starting point.
