A green setting, a reservoir and a fine sandy beach… No, you are not dreaming, you are in Saint-Étienne, and more precisely in St-Victor-sur-Loire.
Swimming is supervised on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays in June from 13 a.m. to 19 p.m. by a detachment of lifeguards from the firefighters of the SDIS (Departmental Fire and Rescue Service of the Loire). And every day from 13 a.m. to 19 p.m. in July and August.
The nautical base is accessible from the city center in less than 30 minutes in July and August thanks to the Stas shuttles set up each summer.
Please note the flags (green: swimming permitted, orange: caution and red: swimming prohibited). In the absence of a flag, swimming is not supervised.
The supervised swimming areas (small and large baths) are demarcated with markers installed on the water in accordance with current regulations.
The quality of bathing water is checked weekly throughout the summer season. The statements are displayed at the harbor master's office.
Two snack bars, installed since spring 2015 in a new functional and welcoming building, offer cold drinks and snacks on the terrace. They are open 7 days a week from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. in summer.
Dogs are prohibited on the beach and the meadow above.
Barbecues are prohibited on the entire site.
Free toilets are available at the entrance to the site as well as under the awning of the service building.
Showers are available to swimmers on the beach.
