This orientation table is located near the hamlet of Méalet
Once on site, here is what we can observe:
– To the North-East and on clear days, Mont Blanc (4807m). If it is visible, according to the ancients, it is not a sign of good weather.
– To the east towards Monistrol sur Loire is the Grand Felletin with its 1387m.
– To the South-East, it is Yssingeaux that we can see to the right of the plateau of the
Madeleine (969m), with the Pic du Lisieux (1495m) and the Suc des
Ollieres (1186m).
– You can see the village of Boisset in the foreground.
– Further south, towards the Ardèche, there is a magnificent view of Mont Mézenc (1753m) and Mont d'Alambre (1691m) to name but a few.
– Apart from the orientation table, we can see to the north the village of Montarcher (42) and going towards the west, in the foreground, the village of Usson en Forez (42).
– Further away, in the same direction, there are the summits around Saint Anthème (63), as well as the radars of Pierre sur Haute (1633m).

Location details

To get there from St Pal en Chalencon, take the direction of Boisset –Tiranges and 300 m after leaving the village, turn right towards the hamlet of Méalet.
Go through this village and if you are driving, park near the stone cross.
After this, continue the road on foot for 100 m, and there, the orientation table will be indicated
