Saint-Just Saint-Rambert
Free

The chocolate fair is the unmissable chocolate event in the Loire at Saint-Just Saint-Rambert in November, and it's free! Since 2003, the chocolate fair has been all about chocolate! More than thirty artisan chocolate makers and friends of chocolate present their 100% pure cocoa butter know-how during this festive autumn weekend around tastings, demonstrations, activities and workshops. Meet passionate and talented professionals who are just waiting for you to share their love of cocoa.

Program

The event is intended as a setting, which preciously showcases the know-how and love of the chocolate professions. Through their demonstrations, their convivial exchanges with the public, our chocolatiers and pastry chefs share their passion and their profession with as many people as possible: chocolate sculptures, introduction to tasting, games for the whole family, etc.

A region well known for its delicacies

The tradition of chocolatiers dating back to the 18th century with the Escoffier or Pupier chocolate factories. The chocolate then came by boat on the Loire from Nantes!
Philippe Bel (Meilleur Ouvrier de France, chocolatier in Montbrison) or Bruno Moncoudiol (world pastry champion, pastry chef chocolatier in Monistrol sur Loire), both of them Meilleur Ouvriers de France, and prestigious houses such as Weiss, Coulois, Pralus... promote chocolate everywhere in France and around the world.

The Pontembertoise houses La Muscadine or Le Chardon Bleu, but also the IMSE apprentice training center (Institut des Métiers de Saint-Etienne) actively participate in this moment of taste discovery that will awaken your taste buds!

A little extra

It is also an opportunity to stroll through the cobbled streets of old Saint-Rambert, a former Gallo-Roman village, to continue your cultural discoveries with the Museum of Civilizations, or simply to stroll along the banks of the Loire, the canal du Forez or the David pond to recharge your batteries in a privileged natural setting.
